Distance Learning: Haiku Challenge 2

LI:  To correctly structure and write a haiku poem

The above DLO showcases my Haiku Poetry in which I have written three verses.  Haiku poem is a short Japanese poems with a fixed pattern of three lines and seventeen syllables. The first and last line has 5 syllables whereas the second line has 7 syllables. I have chosen the topic winter and have written a Haiku poem of three verses. I really enjoyed completing this challenge.

  1. Winter's icy wind
    A waiting tiger squatting
    Nature's hov'ring stealth...

    mother nature shrugs
    winter blows a parting kiss
    jonquils in spring snow

    a snowless winter
    a most welcoming respite ~
    climate change is real

    1. Good afternoon Ms. Collins,
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. This Haiku poem is very great. Each word is telling about winter and the poem is following each rule of Haiku Poetry. In all the verses the first and the second line has 5 syllables whereas the second line has 7 syllables. I really loved reading the poem and I would love to read more poems from you!
