Distance Learning: Haiku Challenge-3

LI: To use smart searching and write a Haiku Poem.

The above DLO showcases the Haiku Poem which is written by on a very famous Aotearoa Tale- How Maui slowed the Sun. I also added some pictures of Maui and his brothers catching the Sun to make it more attractive. My poem contains four verses and it was a little hard to form the poem as I checked the syllables side by side. I still had a lot of fun making this DLO and completing this task.

  1. Wow! What a wonderful poem. Maui and the Sun is one of my favourite stories so it was wonderful to read your haiku retelling the story. Did you find it difficult?

  2. I am SO impressed Sakshi that you condensed the story in to such a comprehensive version...

...Māui's power and ability could never be questioned again, he had succeeded in taming the sun. From that day until this, Tamanuiterā has always travelled slowly across the sky.
