The above poster showcases the information on the four walls of Hauora under the topic of inquiry. The poster includes some pictures related to the rules of the wall to make it look attractive. I used the canva site to make the poster as it was very useful by giving me samples and pictures as well. Sakina helped me so I could make the poster because I didn't use this site earlier. As Hauora has four walls it has four classified rules and regulations. Taha Tinana which is the first wall is related to the healthy and fit body where as Taha Hinengaro being the second wall focuses on taking care of others and also having a healthy mind. Taha Whanau being the third wall tells of being part of a team and support the ones who you care where as Taha Wairua which is the forth wall features the religious beliefs and the confidence to accept challenges. Overall if all the walls are well balanced then a person has a healthy and happy life. Completing this task was very knowledgeable and fun as I could showcase my learning through a poster.
Greetings Sakshi!
ReplyDeleteYour poster about Hauora is very interesting and gives a lot of information. I have also studied the topic of Hauora, I also used canva to create a poster explaining Hauora. Do you think all your 4 walls of hauora are standing? Why or Why not?
Keep up the great work!

Greetings Fau!
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting on my blog! Yes, I do think that all the four walls of Hauora are standing in my life. I think this is the reason why I have a healthy and happy life. According to Taha Tinana I keep a healthy body by exercising, Taha Hinengaro I express my feelings to my family and close friends, Taha Wairua I practice and respect my religion and according to Taha Whanau I try my best of being supportive and caring to my friends and family. What do you think about your four walls of Hauora? How do you try your best for each of the four walls to keep standing?
Having all four walls standing must be very pleasant! I think I need to work on Taha Wairua as I need to find my values as a person, but I do try my best. I think being positive and healthy would help me boost my confidence! If all your walls are standing, how do you think you'll turn out if one of your walls fall? Which wall do you think it'll be?
DeleteI hope you work harder on Taha Wairua. I know you can do it! I also took a lot of time on finding the purpose of my life! Till now I think that my present purpose in life is to be a better student, daughter and sister. I think that if one of my walls fall it would be quite stressful as it results in the falling of all the walls. I think it would be a very big difference in my life if it is compared by before. Taha Tinana would be the wall which would fall as I exercise less as compared to others. Thank you so much for reminding me, from now on I would try and work harder on this wall by exercising everyday! Did you know the importance and meaning of Hauora before completing this task? If yes, what did you know?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Using information from last year experiences I knew that Hauora is the Maori belief of health that is unique to New Zealand, I also knew a little bit about each wall. Did you know what Hauora was before this task aswell?
ReplyDeleteWell as I was new to New Zealand I didn't really know much about Hauora. I knew that it had four walls called Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Whanau and Taha Hinengaro which I read in one of the junior classes at Panmure Bridge School. But now I know a lot! I know that it can be compared to a whare (house) and if one of the walls fall it results to the collapsing of the whole house. I also know the meaning and connection towards each of the walls. Can you find two examples each (related to you) under all the four walls of Hauora? If yes, what are they?
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you've learnt lots! Two exaples under all the 4 walls of Hauora would be:
DeleteTaha Tinana - Fitness and Eating Healthy
Taha Wairua - My Religion and my culture
Taha Whanau - My relation ships with my friends and family
Taha Hinengaro - My self esteem and confidence in myself.
Do you understand what it means by "If one wall falls, then all the wall falls"?
Thank you for the amazing feedback! You too have a great knowledge on Hauora. You answered the questions very clearly. Yes, I know the meaning of " if one wall falls, then all the wall falls". Hauora is related to a whare tapa wha (house) because both of them has four walls. The four walls in hauora are Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Whanau and Taha Hinengaro. If one of the wall in a house falls then it results in the falling of the whole house. Thus in hauora, if a person is lacking in one of the qualities in any of the four walls it results in bad health and sad life. If one of the walls in hauora fall in your life, does it only have an impact on you? If no, then who else does have an impact and what is the impact on each one of them?
ReplyDeleteWhen one of the four walls of hauora fall in my life then it has an impact on me, my family as well as the community. My family and the community which includes the one who cares for me will notice that I am feeling demotivated and will know that something is wrong. This proves that the community and family has a major impact on our life and thus would also care if we have a problem such as falling one of the walls of Hauora. Which of your 4 walls do you find the strongest?
DeleteWow, that was a well explained answer! I think that Taha Whanau is the strongest wall as compared to the others in my life because I think that I have good relationships with my family and friends. I really like to spend time and talk to them. They are always there whenever I am in trouble and feel a little low. My friends and my family are one of the main reason Taha Whanau is my strongest wall. Thank you for commenting on my blog! It was really nice talking to you and learning about each other's opinions. I hope you feel the same way and you like my other blog posts too.
