The above screencastify is the second task for this week of the Summer Learning Journey that I have completed today. This Step it up activity showcases the instructions to create a parachute with a string. I started this activity by reading the steps to create the design and practised it a couple of times. After practising both the designs I found making the parachute easier that than the two diamonds. I then asked my mother to click the pictures of each step of what I did. Later on I added the pictures in a presentation and recorded it in a screencastify in which I explain the steps. Something I found different in this design was that it just required one hand to hold the string whereas the other hand just moved the strings. I was eagerly waiting to do this activity because we did the first part a week ago. I loved doing this activity and I am looking forward to do other Summer Learning Journey Tasks as well.

ReplyDeleteGreat work! I remember when I was around your age, my Grandfather taught me how to do the parachute. I always found it really hard though. You seem to have had no trouble with it.
Also, I think it’s cool how the parachute is just on one hand as you said. Imagine what you could do if you partnered up with someone else and used four hands!
Take care,
Benjamin
