The above piece of music is the fourth task for this week of the Summer Learning Journey that I have completed today. For this Step it up activity I have made some changes from the first tune that is in the previous blog post. This time I have added drums in the background which kind of created a beat in the tune. After completing this task I now know how to use this site and can also teach others. I started by clicking any keys on the board and then play whatever I have created. Slowly I started to know about the notes which were high and low. Then I made some changes according to the tune and also added drums and changed the instrument. This task was a little relatable to me because I know to play some instruments like guitars and a little bit of piano. I used to learn playing music a long time ago and this activity was a great help to recall the notes. I loved completing this task and I would love to do some more tasks related to instruments and music.
Kia ora Sakshi,
ReplyDeleteFiona here from the summer learning Journey. You have done another fantastic blog post - ka pai! I really like how you wrote the word Summer and added a cool drum beat in the background. This was really funky and got me bopping in my chair!
I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed this activity and you could relate to it with your background knowledge of piano and guitar. You would be a great teacher of the Song Maker program to others! Do you think your brother or parents would like to learn?
Keep up the great blogging this week! I am always so impressed by your outstanding work.
Mā te wā,
Fiona (SLJ).
Kia ora Saski,
ReplyDeleteI am working in schools as a Manaiakalani Outreach facilitator.
I love the bouncy sounds in your music and the visual effect with the word Summer - a nice touch.
You have layered the music by adding in the beat in this stepping up part. Do you think you could add a little more by changing us the music? It seems like something is going to happen in your composition - a change in tempo or the melody.
