SLJ (W1/A5) : Step it up What are you doing today

LI: To create a screencastify with a family member to improve my maori pronunciation.

The above screencastify is my "step it up task" as the fifth Summer Learning Journey activity. For making this screencastify I asked my younger brother for help as he asked the questions and I answered them in Te Reo Maori. I think this task was very helpful to improve my maori skills because I solved the questions first and then said them while making the video. I also think that this task was not just helpful for me but for my brother as well because he asked me questions and also started to say the maori words increasing his vocabulary. I am looking forward to complete my other tasks of the Summer Learning Journey as well.

Mīharo, Your pronunciation is flawless! Thanks for taking the time to record yourself so that we can check in on all aspects of your learning :).

    1. Kia ora Benjamin,

Thank you for commenting on my blog and the positive feedback. I am glad, you liked my work. I agree, I think recording myself was really very helpful for me as I could see my mistakes and retake the video. I could also teach my brother the meaning of the Maori words as he wanted to learn them as well. How do you think I can improve my skills in Te Reo Maori?

      Thank you!

  2. Hi Sakshi!
I enjoyed listening to your screencastify that you made with your brother. I love how both you and him shared lines and knew what to say. Your Maori pronounciation is really good, I am also going to do this task with Ellenora later on next week. Were there any struggles with the screencastify?

    1. Hi Florence!

Thank you so much for taking time and commenting on my blog again. I am glad you liked my work and thank you so much for the positive feedback. I really appreciate it! I will be looking forward to see your task as well. I think the only struggle in this task was making the screencastify as I had to do a couple of takes due to my pronunciation. At first, I wasn't sure how to pronounce some words so I had to search them up and make sure if I was saying them right. I have a question for you, how do you think I can improve my Maori pronunciation?

Thank you! I am looking forward for your reply.
